Abstract:
Digital transformation has brought brand-new development opportunities to vocational education for people with disabilities in China and provided an era opportunity for promoting high-quality development. Digital technology is being widely integrated into the macro, meso and micro levels of vocational education for people with disabilities, demonstrating multiple values in promoting educational equity, optimizing the educational service supply system, and cultivating digital literacy and professional resilience. At present, the digital transformation empowering vocational education for the disabled follows an operational logic of “demand-driven-technology-enabled-resource reconstruction-capacity enhancement”. Guided by the actual needs of students with disabilities, digital technology is precisely applied to empower the entire process of “teaching-learning- assessment-management”. Based on digital platforms, the barriers of time and space are broken down to achieve cross-domain sharing of resources such as courses and teachers, with the aim of promoting the transformation of resources into capabilities, enhancing the professional competitiveness of students with disabilities and promoting the sustainable development of educational institutions. In view of this, to promote the high-quality development of vocational education for people with disabilities, it is necessary to improve the digital governance system for vocational education for people with disabilities, build training bases that meet the needs of disabled students, create a digital sharing platform for vocational education for people with disabilities, and enhance the digital literacy of vocational education teachers for people with disabilities, so as to further achieve the digital transformation of vocational education for people with disabilities.
