“才子之笔”与“著书者之笔”——对一段文学公案的解析

  • 摘要: 纪昀与蒲松龄的文学公案是一场跨时空的文学之争。纪昀从文体和叙事两个方面质疑蒲松龄的《聊斋志异》,他对《聊斋志异》的概括相当准确到位,有其价值;但他据此作出的判断则存在争议,看似一个小问题,实则关涉甚广。纪昀博学但不够通透,他用学者标准苛求蒲松龄的小说创作,其对蒲松龄的质疑也使自己陷入了叙事的逻辑陷阱。后世作家各自站队,形成清代小说创作的两种倾向,即“才子之笔”与“著书者之笔”的分野,呈现出双峰并峙的文学景观。

     

    Abstract: The literary debate between JI Yun and PU Songling transcends time and space. JI Yun raised questions about PU Songling's Liaozhaizhiyi(《聊斋志异》) from both stylistic and narrative perspectives. His summary of Liaozhaizhiyi was remarkably accurate, which is valuable; however, his judgments based on this are controversial. This seemingly minor issue actually involves many important questions. Although JI Yun was knowledgeable, he lacked flexibility. He used academic standards to criticize PU Songling's novel creation, and his questioning of PU Songling also led him to fall into a narrative logic trap. Later writers chose their own positions, thus forming two creative tendencies in Qing Dynasty novels, distinguishing between "author's creation" and "scholar's creation, " presenting a literary landscape where the two are juxtaposed.
