Abstract
The Regulations of Military Administration is an important legal document of army governance in the Ming Dynasty. It′s sequel was compiled in the Chenghua period and reprinted in the early Hongzhi period. In the Chenghua period, it was still hard to prevent deserters from escaping from Weiso. Therefore, the government compiled The Sequel to the Regulations of Military Administration in order to improve governance of soldier replenishment. The Sequel, with both inheritance and innovation, focuses on solving shortage of Weiso soldiers, reflecting the characteristic of the Ming Government legislation, which reacted to the changes of the situation.
