Abstract
LU You and JIANG Teli, who were of the same age and had successively experienced the kindness and severity of Emperor Xiaozong, in their later years, empathized and poetically communicated with each other. The Jimu Pavilion, which was renovated by HAN Yuanji in Wuzhou in the fifth year of the Chunxi reign of Emperor Xiaozong, might have been the starting point of their friendship and exchanges. Before the abdication of Emperor Xiaozong at the end of the Chunxi reign, the internal abdication in Shaoxi reign of Emperor Guangzong, the Party ban in Qingyuan reign of Emperor Ningzong, and the Kaixi northern expedition, the tacit communication between LU You and JIANG Teli in the court struggle and their personal choice between official career and hermitage deepened their mutual understanding and friendship. It also proved that LU You, who lived in seclusion at Sanshan in his later years, was not completely detached from the court. The poetic communication with JIANG Teli added joy to LU You's lonely and cold life in his later years.
