Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a scale of School-Family Partnerships Competence of Pre-service Teachers in primary and secondary schools. Based on reviewing relevant literature and consulting experts, the original scale was designed and revised multiple times. The reliability and validity of the scale were tested using correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. The scale contained 21 items, including three dimensions (skills, knowledge, and attitude), which explained 67.438% of the variance variation; the factor load of each item ranges from 0.548 to 0.890; confirmatory factor analysis showed that the three factor structural model fitted well(2=488.296 df=186, RMSEA=0.074, CFI=0.915, TLI=0.904, SRMR=0.069); the total score and the scores of each factor were positively correlated with the score of Professional Identity and Professional Calling of normal university students (ICC=0.275~0.576, all p < 0.01). The Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the total questionnaire and three factors ranges from 0.628 to 0.799; the retest reliability (ICC) ranges from 0.615 to 0.735. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire meet the requirements of psychometrics and can be used as a tool to evaluate the competence of school-family partnerships of pre-service teachers in primary and secondary schools.
