Performance Assessment Empowers the Evaluation Reform of Pre-service Teachers' Educational Internship: Framework Design and Development Orientation

  • Performance-based assessment provides conditions for the evaluation reform of pre-service teacher educational internship and brings new opportunities for the innovative development of educational internship evaluation. This article identifies key issues in current internship evaluation, including incomplete content, lack of process focus, vague standards, and ineffective feedback. To address these challenges, a practical framework is proposed, featuring scientific evaluation standards, performance task systems, evidence-based assessment, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and improved feedback mechanisms. Building on this framework, three reform paths are suggested: fostering a positive evaluation culture, integrating technology to build an intelligent assessment ecosystem, and developing dynamic evaluation standards for continuous improvement.
