How to Achieve "Co-production": An Empirical Study Based on Urban Community Public Service

Co-production is of great significance in the supply of public services in urban communities. In addition to stimulating public community participation, it also helps to improve the quality of community public services. X District of City C is taken as a typical case to explore the formation mechanism and promotion way of the public service co-production practice in urban community. It is found that under the driving force of national creation and self-drive, the practice of co-production ensures the common presence of conventional producers, consumer producers, the state and society and forms the joint force of all subjects, which enhances the durability and benefit of citizen participation. Although the practice of co-production cannot solve all the problems in the field of community public service supply, refining the action logic of co-production undoubtedly provides a useful idea for building a community governance pattern of co-construction, co-governance and sharing.
