Abstract
Teacher assessment management is a crucial means for improving the internal governance of the university, stimulating the teachers' vitality for innovation, and elevating the quality of the university. The teacher assessment management of Nanyang Technological University reflects not only the common experience of world-class universities but also the experience of individual practice combined with its own characteristics. To build a system of modern university teacher assessment management with Chinese characteristics, the focus should be placed on solving the outstanding problems in the current teacher assessment management, comparing and analyzing in depth the differences in the history, culture and current situation between universities in China and the first-class universities in western developed countries and formulating an overall layout and elaborate design in terms of procedure and method, object differentiation, content index, mechanism design, organization and implementation, and result application.
