Abstract
In the field of international trade, the negotiation game between countries, regions and major international organizations has undergone a transition from traditional trade negotiations to e-commerce negotiations. The current international trade negotiations have focused on the field of digital trade. In the context of digital trade, the game over international trade rules is becoming more and more intense and China is the core promoter of the construction of new global rules for international trade negotiations and e-commerce negotiations. Therefore, it is necessary to strive to create a "Chinese-style template" based on its national conditions that is in line with China's digital trade development at the current stage. This empirical study selects 66 international e-commerce negotiation cases that China participated in and adopts the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to find out the necessary conditions for reaching an agreement in international e-commerce negotiations. Five condition configurations for achieving phased results are designed. It is suggested that China should accurately select negotiating parties, build an effective negotiation mechanism and quickly judge its own power on specific issues and the opportunity to contact the issues. Strategies such as improving domestic governance mechanism, strengthening global governance ability and transforming the advantage of cross-border e-commerce practice are proposed.
