Abstract
The development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area needs the support of education. Education cooperation itself is also an integral part of the overall development strategy of the Greater Bay Area. In this circumstance, the research on education is required to provide theoretical support for the goal. The educational research in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao is at the top level in China, even in Asia. These regions have their own distinct advantages, which are highly complementary to each other. However, at present, there is a lack of extensive and effective cooperation in this field. There are obstacles in the aspects of system and willingness, which are essential for research cooperation. The advantages and disadvantages in educational research in the different regions are analyzed, and it is suggested that the educational research in the regions of the Greater Bay Area should strengthen cooperation to achieve an all-win result, aiming to build a "world-class educational research center with Chinese characteristics" and to play a big role in improving educational quality and building a talent highland in the Greater Bay Area in the future.
