High-tech Industry Isomorphism and Regional Economic Growth: A Spatial Econometric Analysis Based on the Pearl River Delta

  • The similarity of industrial development between the various areas in the Pearl River Delta region is very high. How to give full play to the role of the isomorphism of high-tech industry in the region to promote regional economic growth and to its significant positive externality is worth further study. If the isomorphism of high-tech industries in the Pearl River Delta increases by 1% on average, the output elasticity will increase by 0.187%, of which 10% is due to the spatial spillover effect of the isomorphism of high-tech industries in the region. The isomorphism of high-tech industries in the Pearl River Delta has a significant positive externality, which contributes to the promotion of regional industrial upgrading and economic and social development.
