Abstract:
There are plenty of critical comments on LU You (陆游) and his poetry in YUAN Chang (袁昶), a late-Qing poet's diary script. According to those comments, YUAN Chang's reception towards LU You tended to focus more on character cultivation and regimen, but he was also familiar with LU's poetry and was capable of applying it in his own literary creation. Some entries in YUAN Chang's diary can partially change the original belief that the reception history of LU You entered a low ebb in late-Qing Dynasty, as well as provide inspiration for upcoming research on literature-reception history.
