Changes of the field in higher education not only put forward new requests for university presidents in school management, but also bring precious opportunities and challenges for their growth. The growth of university presidents requires them to actively deal with the practical challenges such as the impact of educational utilitarianism, the interference of stakeholders and the fetters of administrative identity, and meanwhile make positive exploration in maintaining professional development, improving the governance model, constructing a community of shared future for universities and promoting reform and opening up and innovation, etc.
