Abstract:
As one of the landmark initiatives leading the modernization of Chinese education, the construction of new liberal arts plays an important role in serving national strategic needs, exploring a new paradigm for the development of liberal arts with Chinese characteristics, and building a "Chinese discourse" system for humanities and social sciences. Compared with the West, China's new liberal arts construction not only focuses on technical innovations at the professional, curricular, and pedagogical levels, but also emphasizes the structural exploration of Chinese characteristics, the construction of cultural values in the discipline, and the pursuit of academic autonomy. The concept of a community with a shared future for mankind can provide a new theoretical perspective and play a leading role in gathering value consensus, promoting international understanding, and building a strong cultural nation. Accordingly, to realize the connotative development of new liberal arts talent cultivation, we need to conduct in-depth exploration at four aspects: value orientation, cultivation mode, disciplinary integration and external communication.
