Abstract: Prof. Jao Tsung-i and Hong Kong Institute of Dunhuang and Turfan Studies Luo Hui Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole, The University of Hong Kong Abstract： Hong Kong Institute of Dunhuang and Turfan Studies established by Prof. Jao Tsung-i had an impressive record of achievements in promoting the collaborative exchange between the international and Chinese academia. Due to the low profile and the unique history, however, there is little known about the Institute. This article therefore tries to rebuild the developing history of the Institute.
