Abstract: With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, its relation with literary creation has become closer and closer. What level of literary writing can AI reach and can it replace human literary creation? This is an urgent topic for Chinese literature researchers to seriously think about. Seeing from literary tradition, literary ontology and the subtle and complex mental activities expressed by literature, AI still cannot replace human subjective consciousness, which is an insurmountable difficulty for AI literary creation to overcome.
