Abstract: The construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics not only attaches importance to hard work but also attaches importance to scientific judgment and reasonable inspection of various undertakings and work. Deng Xiaoping put forward the famous "three advantages" standard for this. The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward "withstanding the test of practice, the people, and history". Since the 18th National Congress, it has been proposed "to be recognized by the people and to stand the test of history". Both are essentially the sinicization of the socio-historical evaluation standard of historical materialism. "Being recognized by the people" has a dual orientation, namely the subjective evaluation of the collective subject and the objective conditions of the subject's practice such as survival, life, and production. "Standing the test of history" has a three-fold meaning, namely, the level of productivity and economic development in the historical position of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the actual situation of democracy, science, education, culture and social governance involved in a well-off society and a good life, and the achievement of specific evaluation indicators for a well-off society and resolution of outstanding problems. It is necessary to look at "being recognized by the people and standing the test of history" from a long-term historical perspective. They should become the long-term criteria for judging the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
